Nicole is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a National Board Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She specializes in helping women heal from anxiety, depression, trauma, and deal with life transitions. She has over 20 years of experience in counseling. She has worked in public school settings, community agencies, non-profits, and private practices. In 2020, she founded Transformation Counseling and Consulting, PLLC (TC&C), a mental health group practice. Nicole scaled TC&C from a solo practice to a thriving, multistate, fully staffed practice within 3 years.

Being a United States Army veteran is one of the things Nicole is most proud of in her career. She is also a military spouse, military mom, and the child of a service member. Nicole’s husband and son both served in the Army. Her father was a decorated 25-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Nicole obtained her Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on counseling from North Carolina State University. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Psychology and a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Southern Connecticut State University.

She has a certification in Perinatal Mental Health and is a Postpartum Support International (PSI) Regional Liaison for PSI-NC and a member of the Florida PSI Alliance. Nicole has lived experience with postpartum depression. She is also certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trained in EMDR. Nicole provides public speaking services and workshops on mental health issues to organizations across the United States. She frequently provides workshops on business development and individual business coaching for other mental health professionals. Nicole is the 2026 President-Elect for the Military and Government Counseling Association Committee for the North Carolina Counseling Association (NCCA).

Nicole was recognized for advocating for women’s mental health with the Seven Starlings Mental Health Advocate Award in 2024. In November 2025, she received the ‘CUSE50 recognition award from Syracuse University for TC&C being one of the fastest-growing businesses in the university alumni program.
