Melanie E. Morris is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor in Colorado with more than a decade of experience helping individuals and families work through trauma, anxiety, and addiction. She holds dual master’s degrees in Addiction Counseling and Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and is currently completing her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision.
In private practice, Melanie works with high-functioning individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, stress, and life transitions so they can move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Her approach is both compassionate and practical, integrating evidence-based therapies including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Choice Theory to support insight, resilience, and meaningful change.
Melanie works with teens, adults, and couples and specializes in trauma-informed care, addiction recovery, and professional development. She believes therapy is a collaborative process that helps clients better understand their experiences, strengthen emotional resilience, and reconnect with their sense of direction and purpose.
In addition to her clinical work, Melanie provides clinical supervision to pre-licensed counselors and peer recovery professionals. Her supervision approach emphasizes clinical reasoning, case conceptualization, and the development of professional identity in emerging clinicians.
Outside of her professional work, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family and exploring Colorado’s outdoors.
