Stephanie Tatum, LPC, ADDC, NCC, is the Founder and Clinical Director of Still I Rise Counseling Services, a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive group practice based in Colorado. After spending over 25 years in the financial industry, Stephanie made the courageous decision to follow her calling in mental health, opening her practice just days before graduating from her counseling program.

What began as a solo private practice has since grown into an evolving group practice, now supported by a team of nine, including six therapists. Through this growth, Stephanie has intentionally cultivated a collaborative, learning-centered environment grounded in trauma-informed care, anti-oppressive values, and clinical excellence.

Stephanie specializes in working with individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, substance use, relational challenges, anxiety, depression, grief, and racial trauma. Her clinical approach is rooted in an anti-oppressive and culturally responsive framework, integrating modalities such as EMDR, Liberation Psychology, and other evidence-based, research-informed practices. She is deeply committed to creating spaces where individuals, particularly those from BIPOC and historically marginalized communities, feel seen, heard, and empowered.

In addition to her clinical work, Stephanie provides clinical supervision and consultation to emerging therapists, focusing on supporting clinicians in developing their clinical identity and business acumen. She is passionate about bridging gaps in therapist training by equipping clinicians with practical tools to integrate anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices into their work.

Through her leadership, speaking, and mentorship, Stephanie continues to advocate for equity in mental health care while fostering environments that support both client healing and clinician growth.
