Ryan Kennedy, PsyD, is the founder and executive director of Noeticus Counseling Center and Training Institute in Denver, Colorado, and serves as the training director and senior faculty with the Noeticus Center for Professional Development and the Noeticus Addiction Counselor Clinical Training Program. He has practiced as a psychotherapist in a broad range of settings since 1993 and contributed as a counselor educator and clinical supervisor since 1996. He served as core faculty for 18 years at Naropa University in the Graduate School of Counseling and Psychology and as adjunct faculty at Front Range Community College, Prescott College, Regis University, University of Colorado Denver, and Walden University. In addition to being a licensed psychologist, he is also licensed in addiction counseling, professional counseling, and marriage and family therapy, as well as being a registered nurse and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. He has been approved by the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration to teach all 20 courses required for credentialing in addiction treatment and is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers and a certified MI trainer. Dr. Kennedy has an extensive background in expressive arts therapies, somatic and body-centered approaches, movement observation and developmental patterning, experiential learning, clinical assessment, complex trauma, addiction recovery, systemic therapy, and organizational change. His clinical approach is deeply rooted in developmental, humanistic, existential, and transpersonal principles and practices.
