Angela Tapp, LPC is a doctoral student in Transpersonal and Positive Psychology at the California Institute of Human Science, where she studies under the advisement of Dr. Glenn Hartilus. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling/Marriage & Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Edward's University (Summa Cum Laude, 2004). A Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada, Tapp brings over two decades of clinical experience spanning grief and hospice work, trauma-informed care, adolescent and family systems, and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. Her scholarly interests sit at the intersection of transpersonal psychology, consciousness studies, and meaning reconstruction following spiritual and institutional rupture. She draws on contemplative wisdom traditions, altered states research, and existential frameworks to inform both her clinical practice and emerging scholarship. Tapp previously served as Full-Time Faculty in the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling program at Naropa University, where she taught transpersonal psychology, human development, family systems, and supervised graduate practicum students. Her current research examines the application of the Circumplex Model to adopted family systems. She is an authorized facilitator and instructor in the PrePare/Enrich model, and holds advanced training in EMDR, clinical hypnotherapy, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
