Adam Landman, MD, MS, MIS, MHS, is senior vice president and chief digital information officer (CDIO) at Brown Health. Dr. Landman joined Brown University Health following an extensive career in the Boston area, including as chief information officer (CIO) and senior vice president for digital at Mass General Brigham, where he led efforts to improve the care team experience and optimize clinical and operational systems through strategic use of digital and AI technologies. He was also actively involved in teaching and research as an associate professor of emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Landman began his career at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2010 as an emergency physician and director of clinical informatics. He later served as chief medical information officer, vice president, and CIO at Brigham and Women’s Hospital before his role at Mass General Brigham. Dr. Landman holds graduate degrees in information systems and healthcare policy from Carnegie Mellon University and a medical degree from UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. After medical school, he trained in emergency medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed the RWJ Foundation Clinical Scholars fellowship in health services research at Yale University, where he worked on qualitative and quantitative studies on the adoption of health information technology in the emergency department and pre-hospital settings.

Dr. Amber W. Childs is a licensed clinical psychologist and associate professor of psychiatry in the Yale School of Medicine, and is a member of the medical staff at Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital (YNHPH). Childs is the co-founder and director of the Getting Racism Out of our Work (GROW) Initiative, co-founder of the Yale Measurement-Based Care Collaborative and founder of M-Select, a comprehensive digital mental health solution for youth at YSM. Childs successfully commercialized M-Select in 2024, at BeMe Health, where she served as Chief Clinical Officer from 2023-2024. Additional YSM leadership roles have included Director of Training for the Yale Doctoral Internship in Clinical and Community Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Co-Director of the Division of Quality and Innovation within YNHPH. Childs is deeply involved in antiracism and DEI efforts within the Psychiatry Department. She served as the Co-Chair of the Doctoral Internship Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, from 2020-2023, of which she has been a member since 2016 . She served as the invited co-chair of the Education Subcommittee of the Yale Department of Psychiatry Antiracism Task Force (ARTF) from 2020-2023 during which time she also served as a member of the ARTF Steering Committee . Childs’ work aims to improve equity, access, and outcomes in psychiatric services and education through data-driven quality improvement and a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). She is dedicated to clinical and educational program innovations that support the implementation of evidence-based practices and diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts to improve clinical and educational practices. Across her roles, Dr. Childs professional activities include: 1) promotion and implementation of evidence-based practices (EBP), such as Measurement-Based Care (MBC), that prioritize person-centered, individualized treatment and improved psychosocial outcomes; 2) improvement of psychiatric treatment among those who experience chronic and acute psychiatric illness, particularly for young people who are marginalized and minoritized; and 3) cultivating a generation of psychology leaders who have a deep and sophisticated understanding of DEI as it relates to clinical service delivery, research, and education. Childs earned her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and completed a doctoral internship and post-doctoral residency at the Institute of Living/Hartford Hospital, where she specialized in child and adolescent services.

raig is the co-founder and CEO of Mightier. Prior to Mightier, Craig was the interim-CEO of Selux Diagnostics, a company transforming antibiotic medicine, and the Chief Commercial Officer of 1366 Technologies, a solar company out of MIT. From 2004 to 2006 Craig worked for the US Department of Defense in Iraq to launch the government securities market and for Endeavor Argentina where he helped entrepreneurs start new businesses. Craig is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Business School.

Hafeezah Muhammad is the founder and CEO of Backpack Healthcare, a technology-enabled behavioral healthcare company expanding access to mental health services for children, families, and underserved communities. Drawing from her experience as a technology executive, entrepreneur, and mother, Hafeezah has built a company that uses artificial intelligence and digital innovation to address systemic gaps in behavioral healthcare. Her work explores how technology can improve access, strengthen care delivery, support clinical teams, and reshape the way organizations build and manage the modern workforce. Hafeezah is equally committed to the human side of innovation. She has cultivated a company culture grounded in empathy, collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. Her leadership reflects a core belief that technology creates its greatest impact when it empowers people, strengthens teams, and allows organizations to serve their communities more effectively.

Heather M. Gates, MBA, is the President/CEO of Community Health Resources (CHR), the most comprehensive, nonprofit behavioral health care organization in Connecticut. As CEO, Ms. Gates has increased the geographic, programmatic and fiscal scope of CHR from a budget of $3 million in 1993 to its current budget of more than $50 million. Under her direction, CHR has remained true to its core vision of providing expert mental health and addiction services to people of all ages and has expanded its scope to also provide primary care, supportive housing, therapeutic foster care and a range of other critical services. Today, CHR provides care to more than 24,000 individuals throughout central and eastern Connecticut with more than 80 unique programs, 32 locations and more than 700 employees. In fact, CHR was recently voted as the region’s “Top Workplace” among large employers and Ms. Gates was named the top leader. Prior to coming to Connecticut Ms. Gates worked in the Western Massachusetts community service system in a variety of capacities since 1976. Her first role was as a legal advocate representing individual’s rights as well as participating in the oversight of the implementation of the Brewster V. Dukakis Consent Degree. Ms. Gates went on to become the Executive Director of a small supported housing program in Holyoke and later worked for the Department of Mental Health as the Director of Managed Care for the Holyoke/Chicopee Area. In all of these positions Ms. Gates provided leadership for system change and reforms. As a result of her work in Connecticut and Massachusetts, Ms. Gates emerged as an advocate for a wide range of issues affecting providers and those in need of services. Ms. Gates is a member of the Medicaid Behavioral Health Partnership Oversight Council and served on the state’s Alcohol and Drug Policy Council. She currently is co-chair of the Public Policy Committee for the Connecticut Nonprofit Alliance and is a member of the Practice Transformation Task Force for the Connecticut SIM. Ms. Gates received the National Council for Behavioral Health Impact Award for Visionary Leadership in 2013 and in 2015 she was the recipient of the Hartford Business Journal’s Healthcare Heroes Award given to outstanding leaders in the health care industry. Ms. Gates received her BA from Hampshire College and her MBA from the University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Management. She lives in Wilbraham, Massachusetts.

Henry Sachs, MD, president of Bradley Hospital and Gateway Healthcare, has been an attending psychiatrist at Bradley Hospital, treating children with autism and development disabilities for more than 34 years. Dr. Sachs is also an associate clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. In his previous role as chief medical officer at Bradley Hospital, Dr. Sachs oversaw the expansion of many clinical services including the creation of multiple partial programs and the Bradley Clinical Research Unit. In his role as the Brown University Health medical director for child psychiatry and behavioral health, Dr. Sachs has worked toward creating a coordinated system-wide child behavioral health service line.

r. Sukhera joined the Hartford HealthCare Behavioral Health Network in September 2021. Previously, he was a psychiatrist at the Child and Adolescent Mental Healthcare Program and Paediatric Chronic Pain Program at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC). He also was an associate professor at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. In addition, he served as a scientist at the Centre for Education Research and Innovation and an associate scientist at the Children's Health Research Institute/Lawson Health Research Institute and sat on the Executive Committee of Western's Centre for Research on Health Equity and Social Inclusion. Dr. Sukhera is an internationally recognized health professions education researcher and thought leader. His research program explores novel approaches to addressing stigma and bias among health professionals and he has also been involved in advocacy and cross-sectoral work in education, policing, and community services. Throughout his career, Dr. Sukhera has held various leadership roles, including as Senior Designate Physician Lead for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at London Health Sciences Centre. He is also a past Diversity Leadership Fellow with the American Psychiatric Association and has served on the Board of Directors of the Association of American Medical Colleges. He also has been on several committees and councils at the local, national and international level. He is past President of the Ontario Psychiatric Association. He was on the London Police Services Board, serving as chair from January 2020 until he came to Hartford HealthCare. The Police Services Board is a civilian oversight board for the London, Ontario police force. During his tenure as police Board chair, he led the Board’s anti-racism efforts, worked on trauma-informed policy reform, and championed awareness for first responder mental health concerns. Dr. Sukhera received his medical degree at the Medical School for International Health (MSIH), a collaboration between Ben-Gurion University in Israel and Columbia University. He completed his residency in psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Rochester, in New York. He also received a PhD in Health Professions Education from Maastricht University's School of Health Professions Education in the Netherlands. He holds board certification in both Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Joshua Kemp, PhD, is a clinical psychologist at the Pediatric Anxiety Research Center at Bradley Hospital and the innovation officer within Brown University Health’s Office of Research Administration. In addition, he is an assistant professor in the department of psychiatry and human behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Kemp's research focuses on training interventions to increase the dissemination of high-quality exposure therapy or individuals with anxiety disorders in community mental health settings. He has secured several NIMH grant awards, including SBIR/STTR awards aimed at commercializing promising training innovations. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Wyoming. He completed his internship and T32 post-doctoral fellowship in the Brown University Clinical Psychology Training Consortium. He has co-authored publications on strategies for training exposure therapists as well as procedural strategies for increasing the effectiveness of exposure therapy.

Laura's research focuses broadly on implementation science and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) programming in underserved communities. Laura is interested in approaches for measuring and monitoring the quality of delivery, training and equipping nonspecialist providers, and integrating MHPSS programming into ongoing community service delivery platforms. Laura received her PhD from the Boston College School of Social Work, where she worked in the Research Program for Children and Adversity managing and supporting projects in Sierra Leone and Rwanda, and worked as a consultant for Sesame Workshop. Prior to her PhD, Laura worked for Catholic Relief Services managing education, child protection, and emergency response programs in Lesotho, Afghanistan, India, and Nigeria. She received her MA from American University's School of International Service.

Michelle Zabel is the founding director of Innovations Institute at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work and associate extension professor and With more than 30 years of experience working in and advising child- and family-serving systems across the public and private sectors, she specializes in implementation science, service system design, sustainable financing, evidence-based and promising practices, tiered care coordination, residential redesign, and crisis response systems. Her work focuses on strengthening public systems that serve children, youth, young adults, and families through research-based, culturally responsive, and equitable approaches to systems transformation. Ms. Zabel leads a nationally recognized institute that advances innovation in behavioral health and human service systems. Since founding Innovations Institute in 2005, she has built and guided a multidisciplinary team of more than 50 faculty and staff engaged in approximately 50 active contracts with federal, state, county, foundation, and private partners, totaling more than $15 million annually. Under her leadership, Innovations has developed nationally recognized expertise in systems design, crisis response systems, LGBTQ+ and early childhood populations, policy and financing, workforce development, and applied research and evaluation aimed at improving outcomes for children and families. Ms. Zabel has served as Principal Investigator and project director on numerous state and federally funded initiatives, including multiple CMS-funded demonstration grants and two SAMHSA National Training and Technical Assistance Centers for Child, Youth, and Family Mental Health, supported through multi-year task orders with 13 subcontractors and more than 50 consultants. Across these initiatives, she has led the development and implementation of continuous quality improvement (CQI) systems using standardized tools and processes to assess technical assistance effectiveness and support system-level change. Evaluation findings from these efforts have demonstrated improvements in implementation outcomes, including strengthened cross-system partnerships, expanded use of evidence-based practices, increased service access, and innovative financing strategies. Her national leadership includes service as a subject matter expert to the National Association for State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD), membership on SAMHSA’s Child, Adolescent, and Family Branch Council, and participation on expert panels focused on mental health policy and system design across the developmental spectrum. She continues to serve on numerous national and state advisory boards and committees focused on behavioral health system transformation. Ms. Zabel currently serves as Principal Investigator on multiple national initiatives, including SAMHSA-funded projects supported through the Technical Assistance Coalition and the Transformation Transfer Initiative, the National Training and Technical Assistance Center for Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics Expansion Grants (in partnership with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing), and the Children’s Crisis Continuum Project. Her leadership continues to advance scalable, evidence-informed approaches to improving behavioral health systems and outcomes for children, youth, and families. In 2022, she received the Mental Health Association of Maryland’s Paula Hamburger Child Advocacy Award in recognition of her contributions to child advocacy and system transformation. Ms. Zabel earned her Master of Social Service (MSS) in the clinical track from Bryn Mawr College and her BA from Eastern University.

Tom lnsel, M.D., a psychiatrist and neuroscientist, has been a national leader in mental health research, policy, and technology. From 2002-2015, Dr. Insel served as Director of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). More recently (2015 – 2017), he led the Mental Health Team at Verily (formerly Google Life Sciences) in South San Francisco, CA. In 2017, he co-founded Mindstrong Health, a Silicon Valley start-up building tools for people with serious mental illness. Dr. Insel co-founded Vanna Health in 2022 and currently serves as Executive Chair. Vanna Health is focused on the needs of people with serious mental illness and works with community partners to provide the 3 Ps (people, place, and purpose) for recovery. In 2020, he co-founded Humanest Care, a therapeutic online community for recovery. Since May of 2019, Dr. Insel has been a special advisor to California Governor Gavin Newsom and Chair of the Board of the Steinberg Institute in Sacramento, California. He is the author of the book Healing: Our Path from Mental Illness to Mental Health, published by Penguin Random House. With journalist co-founders, he recently launched MindSite News (mindsitenews.org), a non-profit digital publication focused on mental health issues. Dr. Insel is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and has received numerous national and international awards, including honorary degrees in the U.S. and Europe.
